This is an update:

I don’t know about y’all , but when I heard about the Disinformation Governance Board being “paused” I was a bit skeptical. Paused? Why not terminated? To quote Barack Obama, “the 80’s called, they want their policy back.” But the 1980’s KGB policy, not America. We are a country that put the ability to speak freely as the number 1 priority, but the truth and dissent from government control are becoming somewhat inconvenient. So speech must be controlled or limited. BuT oNlY fRoM FoReIgn EnTiTiEs. Ok let’s pretend we believe you.
Here is what the May 2, 2022 release from DHS stated,
I would say that one edit would be, replace “threatens the security of the American people” with “threatens the election of progressive American politicians.” We were told that the basis of the board was to focus on foreign interruption in national security, but that isn’t the picture painted by DHS internal documents (HERE). These docs tells another story that sounds eerily like the DHS release on “domestic extremism.”
Like really? Is mask efficacy rising us to the level of being surveilled by our government? Potentially censored? What the actual fuck? In this mission statement, only one bullet point mentions foreign interference. A wise man said to me recently, “just because I called it a conspiracy, doesn’t make it a theory.” Or something like that, you get the idea. And it’s 100% true. The term conspiracy theory is used to delegitimize a noticing of the blatant conspiracies in which our government conducts. See: All of history.
Evidenced in the memo, it would appear that Nina Jankowicz was chosen based on her connections to executives in the tech industry, not her ability to sus out misinformation or her impeccable renditions of Mary Poppins. I still believe her involvement was merely a red herring to garner a lot of attention, causing a pause, only later to be quietly restarted when no one is watching.
But in the meantime, let’s put a new dress on the Misinformation Governance Board, and hand it over to Kamala Harris. In a Presidential Memorandum released on June 16, 2021, Kamala Harris will be overseeing a “Task Force to Address Online Harassment and Abuse.” I am going to just go ahead and stick a feather in this cap of slippery slopes. Allegedly, this task force will be focused on gender related issues, but if we know anything about government programs, they like to be expanded.
From the memo, “(b) Within 1 year of the date that the Initial Blueprint is submitted to the President, the Co-Chairs of the Task Force shall submit to the President and make publicly available an update and report (1-Year Report) with additional recommendations and actions that executive departments, agencies, and offices can take to advance how Federal, State, local, Tribal, and territorial governments; service providers; international organizations; technology platforms; schools; and other public and private entities can improve efforts to prevent and address technology-facilitated gender-based violence.” Does this look familiar to anyone else?
“Sec. 6. Definition. For the purposes of this memorandum, the term “technology-facilitated gender-based violence” shall refer to any form of gender-based violence, including harassment and abuse, which takes place through, or is aided by, the use of digital technologies and devices.”
So violence isn’t violence anymore, it’s words. It’s tweets. It’s personal posts on your Facebook about christian values and traditions. I wonder if the FBI will be working this the same way they facilitated the plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer or the terror plot with Shahawar Matin Siraj or the “unindicted co-conspirators” of January 6 , and so on and so forth.
I wonder how this administration feels about US corporations not putting pride flags on their middle eastern logos? Or censoring homosexual content in movies in China? We totes cool with that? But not if some dude is an asshole online?
If you really want to know where this is heading, I will quote from the fact sheet released with the memo, “Recent mass shootings have also underscored the connections between online harassment, hate, misogyny, and extremist acts. For example, the Uvalde shooter had a history of threatening girls online, yet these violent, sexualized harms and threats were dismissed and ignored when reported. In their annual report on Mass Attacks in Public Spaces, the U.S. Secret Service notes that special focus should be given to assessing threats and preventing violence related to “men who use digital platforms to voice misogynistic views and general animosity toward women.”
Pretty vague. Subjective. And is the first obvious omission that the task force is not as limited as it is being portrayed. Just like the other. And wasn’t this kid known the the FBI, just like the rest of them? They said that his threats were reported, but ignored? No. Why go after kids if he hated women? A lot of questions there. He certainly had some expensive weaponry no one has been able to account for. Maybe it is time to look at those 3 fingers pointing back at them, and stop trying to create controversy where there is none. We are 17 days into a 30 day celebration of “pride” and nobody cares. If parents speaking out about overt sexual content in their children’s school or people not accepting ones lifestyle that doesn’t jive with their beliefs is a trigger for you, well you’re a loser and the problem.
